The Rock...stay tuned to this site for exciting adventures, builds, and news...

It began in 1976 with a Yellow Datsun Pick Up...

The Rock Stats

For 30 years (plus) I have been involved in 4-wheeling from one extent to another.  My experiences range from wheeling in snow, mud, water crossings, sand and lately —rocks. While I am not the worlds best wheeler, since I believe we can always learn better techniques, I truly enjoy exploring and technical driving challenges. Most of all, I love being involved in the many facets of the off-roading community.

I have owned many vehicles and 99% of those vehicles I modified in my own way. Each of those vehicles provided a playground to learning and taught me many valuable lessons.  I feel it's important to be involved in your modifications since it gives you a better feel for your truck. You may be able to tell if something isn't right before it turns into a major problem that will keep you from coming home after a memorable day on the trail.  I perform about 90% of all of the work that is done on my truck.

My goals for modifications are to increase capabilities, along with keeping some of the form. Not everything goes as planned when you are doing a modification. That is part of the learning experience and I will share my successes and failures so that you can be better prepared as you do your own modifications.   I will be posting some "how-to's” that will also help you along in your own vehicle enhancements.

Watch for events and trail rides as they happen.  I hope you enjoy what you see and please contact us if you have any questions, or want to comment. This website will be ever evolving and I hope that you will come to visit often to see the newest updates.

My wife Rose and I travel to many events and love to explore different areas.  As we explore we are always mindful of safety and the responsibility of off-roading. We want to keep all areas open so that we can enjoy these adventures for a very long time. Tread Lightly please, so we can keep our playgrounds open.
